Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of courses.starcleaner.com.au (the "Platform") and all free and paid courses offered by Star Cleaner Australia (ABN 23 669 753 726) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to create an account and use the Platform.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account
• Accounts are for individual use only. You must not share your login or course access with anyone else
• Please tell us straight away if you think your account has been accessed without permission

3. Courses

We offer free and paid courses to our staff and cleaners, our customers and members of the public. We may update, change or remove course content at any time to keep it accurate and relevant. If we permanently remove a paid course you have purchased before your access period ends, we will offer you a suitable replacement or a pro-rata refund.

4. Payments

• Prices for paid courses are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable
• Payment is required in full before you can access a paid course
• Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your card details
• We may change course prices at any time, but changes will not affect courses you have already purchased

5. Refunds

If you are not satisfied with a paid course, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have completed less than 30% of the course. To request a refund, email [email protected] with your name and the course name.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a course has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund or other remedy as required by law.

6. Access period

Unless stated otherwise on the course page, you will have access to a course for as long as it is offered on the Platform and your account remains active.

7. Staff and cleaner training

If you are a Star Cleaner Australia staff member or cleaner, some courses may be required as part of your role. Completing these courses does not form part of, or change, your employment or contractor agreement. Your training records may be viewed by our management team, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Access to staff-only courses may end when you stop working with us.

8. Certificates

Certificates issued on completion of a course confirm that you completed that course on our Platform. They are not a nationally recognised qualification or accreditation unless the course page clearly states otherwise.

9. Intellectual property

All course content, including videos, text, images, quizzes, templates and downloads, is owned by or licensed to Star Cleaner Australia. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for your own learning. You must not:

• Copy, download (unless a download is provided), record, share, sell or distribute any course content
• Use course content to create competing training materials
• Remove any copyright or ownership notices

10. Acceptable use

When using the Platform, you must not:

• Post anything unlawful, offensive, abusive, misleading or discriminatory
• Harass other students or our team
• Upload viruses or harmful code, or try to access parts of the Platform you are not authorised to use
• Use the Platform for spam or unauthorised advertising

We may remove content that breaks these rules.

11. Safety information

Our courses provide general cleaning training and guidance. You must always follow the manufacturer's instructions, the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for any chemical or product, your workplace's safety procedures and all applicable work health and safety laws. If course content conflicts with a product's instructions or safety requirements, follow the product's instructions.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms. Where the breach is not serious, we will let you know first and give you a chance to fix it. You can close your account at any time by contacting us.

13. Limitation of liability

Our courses are provided for general education. To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law:

• We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform or courses
• Where our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the course again or refunding the price you paid

We do our best to keep the Platform available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

14. Third-party services

The Platform is hosted by Thinkific and payments are handled by third-party providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms.

15. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. If we make significant changes, we will let active students know by email.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
